- 200g chow mein noodles (egg noodles)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 100g bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a wok or large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced onions and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and the onions become translucent.

- Add bean sprouts to the wok and continue to stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes. Make sure not to overcook the bean sprouts; they should remain crisp.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the sauce if needed.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve the street-style chow mein hot.
